Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The newest member of the Juneau Assembly was asked about her future plans for the seat while a guest on Action Line Tuesday.
Alicia Hughes-Skandijs was appointed January 14 to fill out the term of Jesse Kiehl who resigned to take his seat in the State Senate.
She'll serve out his term which concludes in October. She was asked if she intends to run for the seat in her own right during this fall's local election She does and says she made that decision pretty recently.
Hughes-Skandijs explained that she's enjoying the work and wants to continue serving the city and borough and feels she can do a good job.
