Crash takes life in Seward

Seward, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers are investigating a single vehicle crash that left a man dead on Christmas Day.

The fatality was reported at mile marker 33 of the Seward Highway on Monday just after 12 noon, Troopers said.

Troopers said Gary Barnett, 47 of Anchorage, was killed in the crash.

The Trooper dispatch went on to state that it appeared the 1994 Honda sedan had left the road and flipped over near the Upper Trail Lake.  It was spotted by a passing motorist.  The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
