Juneau, AK (KINY) - A traveling museum of sorts is bringing engineering demonstrations to the Mendenhall Valley Public Library starting January 10th.
The "Discover Tech" exhibit will be on display until April 6th, giving anyone a chance to explore hands-on activities like circuit building or solar power application.
The Juneau Public Libraries are one of only eight national libraries to host this interactive, traveling exhibit. Fifteen different sections will be located throughout the library. There will also be a LEGO building challenge on Saturday, Janurary 13th at 2pm. Other STEM programing will also be featured throughout the time of the exhibit being in town.
The exhibit will be free to experience and open to the public during library hours.
Discover Tech was organized by Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning in partnership with the American Library Association’s Public Programs Office, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and the Afterschool Alliance. The project was made possible through support from the National Science Foundation.
