28-year-old Juneau resident Chrystal Rose Phillips apprehended Saturday outside Jordan Creek Mall after initially escaping arrest.
A Juneau woman who escaped hospital care after an arrest has been apprehended.
On May 19th, officers of the Juneau Police Department contacted and arrested two subjects with warrants, one of whom - 28 year old Chrystal Rose Phillips - told the arresting officer that she had swallowed drugs at the time of arrest and felt sick.
Phillips was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital, where she was placed in the critical care unit and not medically cleared for lodging at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. After the JPD officer sitting at BRH with Phillips the following night had to leave to respond to a domestic violence call, Phillips left the hospital without medical clearance.
On Saturday, a JPD officer contacted three subjects in a parked vehicle near the Jordan Creek Mall at about 1:50 a.m. Chrystal Phillips was in the vehicle and attempted to elude the officer by changing seats and jumping out the rear passenger side door.
The officer was ultimately able to detain Phillips and she was arrested on two outstanding no bail warrants charging Contempt of Court stemming from original charges of Promoting Contraband.
Phillips was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
