Wasilla, Alaska (KINY) The man accused of shooting to death a Wasilla teenager changed his plea at a court hearing Thursday.
KTVA News reported Damien Peterson, 20, pled guilty to reduced charges in the death of Frank Woodford, 16. Peterson had been charged with second degree murder and criminally negligent homicide.
Woodford was with Peterson and another teenager, Austin Barrett at a Wasilla home when he was shot in the chest. Police report Woodford told them he had not shot himself before he died.
Troopers worked the case for a time, but became more interested after the murder of a second local teen, David Grunwald. Barnett faces charges of murder and kidnapping in that case.
Mr. Peterson will faces a prison sentence of between five and nine years behind bars when he is sentenced on May 9th.
