Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - If you have been trying all New Year's Day to apply for your Permanent Fund Dividend online and are getting nowhere, you are not alone.
It appears that a computer glitch on the state's PFD website is returning an error message to applicants -- and some users said that it was inadvertently sharing other people's personal data.
As of noon on Tuesday the website thanked citizens for their patience as the online application system underwent "unexpected maintenance."
You still have time to apply, however. Applications can be processed online, in person or by mail until March 31.
