Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - A Hollis man has been arrested after being found in possession of nearly $50,000 worth of methamphetamine at the Ketchikan International Airport, Alaska State Troopers said in a dispatch.
Troopers with AST's statewide drug enforcement unit in Ketchikan, along with the aid of a K-9 drug dog, contacted Stanley Lynch, 50, at the airport.
Lynch was in allegedly in possession of approximately 159 grams of methamphetamine, which troopers say he tried to discard.
Lynch was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence, and was remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center without bail pending arraignment on Saturday. An official at KCC confirmed Sunday that he had been released.
According to the dispatch, officers with the Craig Police Department and patrol troopers from the Ketchikan and Craig posts assisted with the investigation.
